Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to help fellow colleagues in the wedding industry with their branding. Wedding planners, cake designers, a dj, decor company and more. Shannon, from I luxe Travel, was referred by another industry college I had worked with previously. She felt that her logo and website didn’t truly reflect the level of service she offered her client, nor her price point. She was getting inquires for discount travel, which is far from what she does. For this luxury travel business rebrand, Shannon and I spent some time together discussing her business and the direction she saw it going in. We honed in on the fact that she wanted to focus solely on honeymoon and destination wedding travel. This was so important to the redesign of her brand! We discussed the vision she had for her logo design and how she wanted to it feel like it would fit in with other high end brands. We stuck with black and white for the logo, while incorporating colour on her business cards and website.
When it came time to design the website, we knew that the target market was couples getting married, so we wanted to give the site not only a luxury feel, but a romantic feel as well. The new website needed to attract people on an emotional level as soon as they got to the home page. I definitely believe we achieved this! The site works beautifully not only on a desktop monitor, but on a tablet and mobile phone.
Shannon recently commented on an instagram photo I shared of her website, that she has has a 50% increase in inquiries since we redesigned her brand and website…this is the best kind of feedback – and tells me that the time and investment was worth it!
