Who are you really?

It’s time to expose the true version of you and share it with the world.

We all have many sides, and we often only show the one we think will help us fit in and be liked.

It’s a defence mechanism to keep us safe.

And keeping us safe is our brain’s job.

I get caught up in it – I find myself changing who I am to fit in. The language I use, the way I dress, the options I share. And I’m hard on myself after I realise I’ve done it.

Being your true, fully expressed self is a work in progress…as is everything in life. And I’ll be working on it until my last breath.

I believe we all will.

So who are you really? It’s not a simple answer as we are all multifaceted human beings.

I have a cautious, reserved, sweet and people pleasing side, and a loud, charismatic, vivacious side.

The side that thinks before she speaks and hold back, and the side that blurts out opinions and drops F bomb.

The side that worries, and the side that takes bold leaps.

The big question is, who do you want to be?

I want to be kind, bold, opinionated, adventurous and full of life and love.

The only way I can do that is by not playing it safe. (You hear that brain?)

Who’s with me?

The double exposure image taken above was from an amazing experience with the gifted Paula Owen called Unmask Yourself…and it does just that!
